Content of the Squadron Boating Course w/o Piloting

Week 1: Boat Handling, Docking/Undocking, Anchoring

Week 2: State of Ohio Boating Laws and Safety - ODNR

Week 3: Required Safety and Signaling Equipment, Knots (Marlinspike) - hands on

Week 4: Aids to Navigation, Ranges, Sound Signals, Navigation Rules, Adverse Conditions

Week 5: Rules and Regulations, Jet Ski Operation (JetSmart), Intro to USPS

Week 6: Examination

Note - This course is roughly the same as the Squadron Boating Course without Piloting.
