Akron Power Squadron
Returns to the SS William G. Mather

Once again (for the 3rd year running, if you're counting), APS members contribute their valuable time in the middle of fitting-out season to help the crew of the freighter museum ship SS William G. Mather prepare for their tourist season by chipping, scraping and painting the upper stern deck. Truly a labor of love, which just goes to show how true the adage is "there is nothing, but nothing, more fun than messing about in boats"!

Even as a kid, Bill enjoyed mixing up those gooey concoctions!

Wow! Three APS members working all at once - and here's the proof.

Now this is more like it - four managers-in-training.

A beautiful day, beautiful scenery. But hey, captain, where's the river entrance?

Bill is caught honing his management style.

You can tell Tim is really enjoying his task - look at the expression of ecstasy on his face!
